WordPress Plugin — Pre Publish Reminders Update

The management interface for the pre publish reminders plugin.

Almost a year ago, I took the time to write a plugin based on a suggestion from Lorelle of Lorelle on WordPress. The plugin was for a configurable list of reminders that would be displayed in the posting interface.

I let the plugin sit nearly dormant for a year. With the recent release of WordPress 2.5 and the new administrative interface, it was time to update the plugin. As such, I yesterday released version 3.1.0 of the plugin that conforms to the new interface better and uses the same style for management as the native UI uses for managing categories or links.

    Hi there, this is an excellent idea for a plug in, but I can’t seem to get it to work, I am using Wordpress 2.5.1 but keep getting the following error when I try to activate.

    I’d really appreciate your help on this, as I can see the plug-in would be valuable.

    The error is:-

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/thebl33/public_html/blog2/wp-content/plugins/pre-publish-reminders/nfoppreminder.php on line 44

    Pretty disappointed in the lack of response here, even if you don’t have an answer it would be nice to be acknowledged.

    @Lee – Sorry I didn’t comment sooner, but I just graduated from college and had commencement yesterday. As with most plugin authors, these projects are just for fun and are not a full time thing.

    I’ll take a look at your problem, but I need sometime to check it out. Are you running PHP4 or PHP5. Any other peculiar things about your setup?

    OK to your question, I am running PHP4, ummm no, nothing peculiar, at least I don’t think there is.
